Nov 01, 2001 · A 40-year-old man was referred to our institution for evaluation of mild anemia found during routine blood testing. Aside from chronic low back pain, the patient was completely asymptomatic. He had no gastrointestinal or systemic symptoms and specifically denied having abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, changes in appetite, bloody stools, diarrhea, or weight loss.
