Daylight Savings Time (DST) was introduced in different ways by influential people such as Benjamin Franklin, George Vernon Hudson, and William Willett. However, it was not implemented into the system until after their existence. On April 28, 1967, the United States finally announced that 45 states would be going on DST that Sunday.
