WEBSep 20, 2017 · Musicians in an ensemble learn to read (sometimes, predict) the conductor's baton work, in a way that allows the player to be in time with the rest of the cohesive ensemble. The conductor's primary goal is of course to express time, but an extremely close second, if not concurrent first, is to express feeling and interpretation.
