When you use either USB port to charge a mobile device, the amount of power that’s output when charging depends on the USB-C port that the hub is plugged into on your computer or other device. If the USB-C port on your computer is 15W, each USB port (USB and USB-C) can output 4.5W for charging.
Can you plug Micro USB into USB C?Yes, but you’ll need a special adapter. USB Type-C and Micro-USB (Type-B Micro) are not the same, and will not fit each other’s ports on their own. Look for a USB Type-C to Micro-USB adapter. This will have a USB Type-C connector that plugs into your device and a Micro-USB port into which you plug the charger.
Is USB C same as micro USB?There is a physically noticeable difference in the micro USB and USB type C. The micro USB contains hooks on one side and can only be entered into a device in a specific way. The type C is slightly bigger in size and doesn’t have any hooks on its sides. This allows it to enter into a device any way you put it in. Type C takes advantage of USB 3.2, 3.1 and 3.0 allowing you to transfer data at speeds of 5 to 20Gbps.
What is USB C cable used for?USB-C cables are also used to transfer power — they're commonly used to charge portable devices, smartphones, laptops, and even security cameras. USB-C cables can be used for transferring both data and power. A standard USB-C connector can provide 2.5 watts of power, which is the same as most USB-A connectors.
