Well I just had a very quick try of the Chinese course. I did video one first tone. 6 or so videos. Clicked to video 2 and now I can see and hear the video but below where my translations are it says 'THIS IS A FREE VERSION.

I HIGHLY recommend it for anyone in the A1-B1 stages of learning French. I've never used the paid version of FluentU. It seems similar to Yabla but way more expensive. I would definitely go with Yabla. I haven't used either, but for me the criterion is the transcript. I don't believe that subtitles are as useful.
